Heaven, Earth, Man — the foundation pillar for how this land is worked.
San Cai (三才) — the Three Powers — is the oldest working frame in Daoist practice: Heaven sets the timing, Earth sets the conditions, Man brings the craft. Nothing on this land is done well unless all three are consulted. This page is the hub that maps each power into the physical work of stewardship — and links to the guides that go deeper.
Heaven · Tian 天
When to act. Frost dates, sun angles, moon phases, seasonal winds, and the five-element year. Heaven decides the window; you decide what fills it.
Earth · Di 地
Where to act. Soil texture and drainage, slope and orientation, water movement, and the micro-climate of every bed and building site.
Man · Ren 人
How to act. The hand, the tool, the build. Choosing implements by material and function, and matching effort to the moment Heaven and Earth provide.

When all three answer in the same direction, the work is easy — this is what is meant by acting in accord with the Way. When even one is ignored, the work turns to force.
The Three Powers give the frame; the Five Elements (Wu Xing 五行) give the texture. Every act of stewardship passes through the same cycle — Wood plans, Fire executes, Earth harvests, Metal refines, Water stores.
